I sometimes say to my children when they are telling me about their woes, “Oh, the world.”
In the midst of this unsettling time, I find myself saying “oh, the world” to myself more and more. The beautiful world, so interconnected and vibrant and interesting, is now on hold at best, in grief, at worst.
